As for photography, I am now using Tumblr to host my photos. The set up there is much nicer than flickr. However, due to the onset of winter, I’ve found it more difficult to take photos. Winter has always been a dreary time for me. It’s like all the color is drained from the world from November – March.

However, this will mark my one year anniversary. On Christmas day I received my Nikon Coolpix, which is taken with me almost anywhere. I have taken over 200 photos with it, and I’m sure hundreds more will follow.

Just a quick little update. While I haven’t been too artistic as of late, I still found some time and inspiration to take a few photos. I love the way the leaves in autumn look, the colors are so vivid.

The moment Alex pulled himself together and got his life on track, that would be when his parents would offer to send him to a much better school. His father had decided to give him a year, two at the most. But the moment he ran out of general courses to take, they would pull him out and send him off to Business school. Alex was well aware of his father’s intentions.

So his parents dumped him in a dorm room, surrounded by unfamiliar faces. He was welcome to come home for the weekend, but staying at home while classes were in session was simply out of the question. He was stuck here for the next few months, and there was nothing he could do about it.

Alex watched as his parents drove away from the college dormitory. He stood there, with his belongings, and waved as they slowly drove out of sight. His mother had glanced back a few times and smiled. If his father had looked back, it was difficult to say.

Once his parents were out of sight, Alex gathered up his belongings – a rather large suitcase, a backpack filled with textbooks and notebooks, a laptop messenger bag, and a blanket and pillow. As he walked towards the entrance, he received a lot of puzzling looks from the other students. He imagined he look like quite the character, managing to walk steadily with all that baggage. Thankfully, the doors to the dormitory were automated.

As he entered the lobby, he glanced around. The official moving day wasn’t until another two days, so there weren’t many students around. The lobby contained a lounge area, which was to his right, complete with couches and a tv. There appeared to be a gaming console as well, but he was too far away to tell what it was. To his left he noticed what appeared to be a small store. It appeared to be a book store of some kind, but he couldn’t be sure.

He had not taken a campus tour, because he lived so close to the campus. He had been certain he could find his way without one, but now he wished he had taken one, just so that he could see the dormitories.

The project is a collaboration between Fireproofmarshmallow and myself. I will be writing, while she’ll be in charge of the art department. For now, the name of it is ‘Apollo’s'…until we come up with something better. Suggestions are appreciated. It’s about people in a restaurant. A new page will be up ASAP.

As for the theme change, well let me know how you feel about it. I’ve been trying to find the right background color, since I made the mistake of trying to change it. Since I don’t know how to get back to the default background, I had to choose something. A friend help me pick this purple color you see here.

So aside from writing the new project, I plan on finishing up some artwork. I’ve just been unhappy with some of my artwork, so its taken a while. But I have characters to design, as well as some writing to do. The new project doesn’t count towards my weekly 350 word story post.

I also plan on doing more digital work, maybe some photography as well.

But we’ll see what happens this week. Wasn’t feeling too well today, and if I’m still feeling under the weather tomorrow, things might be put off another day.

In time, I’ll probably increase it to somewhere between 350-500 words each week. We’ll see how that goes. Perhaps one day I can participate in NaNoWriMo. But that’s a bit of a stretch.

I was out yesterday, so no progress has been made on the sketch requests.

Lately I’ve been questioning the value of friendship, and of course my friends in general. But, I promised there would be no depressing posts, strictly creative ones, and I plan to abide by it as much as possible.

Father’s Day is coming up, and I have never known what to get my dad for the holiday. He always tells us he doesn’t need anything. I considered buying him a case of beer, but T asked why I’d want to enable him. He has a point. My sister decided to buy him some beer cozzies though.

My plan is a bit more creative. He mentioned a while back that he didn’t have a single picture of my sister and I. So, I went out and bought a photo album. Last night and today I went through pictures, and found a bunch of us. I even tracked down some baby pictures, although we seem to have none of my sister. I found this rather odd.

I’ll be working on it for the next few days.
